My Story
My name is Dale and I started Pick 'n' Mix Parties & Gifts (known as then) in January 2016, while still at
6th form and wanting to earn some money. I have always had an entrepreneurial flare and
wanted to run my own business.
In April 2020, I changed my business name to Dale's Handmade Ltd, after my business taking a slight
change in direction and I wanted a more suitable name. I also have some very big plans
for the future and this new name is more fitting.
When I started in 2016 I used to hire a sweet cart, made balloon displays and offered homemade cakes.
However before I even started my current business I ran my own disco and party
business from my early teenage years.
In October 2017 I started making handmade Belgian chocolate truffles and experimenting with flavours.
In October 2017 I started with just a single flavour of truffle, which was prosecco and I still offer this
flavour today but have since expanded my range of chocolates.
Now I offer many different chocolate products, from bars in many flavours to truffles and seasonal ranges too.
If you are looking for the perfect gift or a treat for yourself then you have arrived in the right place.
But I haven't stopped with new ideas and flavours and am always working on new products and
chocolate flavour combinations.
But handmade Belgian chocolates are not the only things that I offer.
I'm also a cake designer and decorator and offer cakes for all occasions from birthdays & baby showers to christenings and that all important wedding cake.
I also still hire out my cart as either a chocolate cart or Krispy Kreme doughnut cart.

In February 2020, I decided to create a new product range, and after lots of recipe trials and taste testing,
my mini loaf cakes were born. These have become a favourite with many customers, and
I offer a wide range of flavours, including seasonal ones too.
But it doesn't stop there, in April 2020, I started experimenting with chocolate brownies,
and I can't believe the response. Everyone absolutely loves them.
So I’ve grown this range to include over 35 different flavours and they are all made using the finest Belgian chocolate, local free range eggs and stone ground, local grown flour.

My brownies have even been called 'The best brownies I've ever tasted'.
You can now find my brownies, mini loaf cakes & handmade Belgian chocolates at a range of local
markets and events in Warwickshire.
Brilliant service, all done through Facebook & email. Very professional & friendly all the way through all contact.
The cake was amazing, exactly as we hoped. All the pictures we sent & they matched it perfectly.
It was delicious too, very moist & plenty of it.

The cake I wanted was a special request as I wanted a Battenberg cake and was apprehensive about if he would pull this off. I was definitely not disappointed! The cake was decorated beautifully and tasted amazing, it is the only cake that my guest have had second helpings of. It was an over all great experience and I would definitely recommend to a friend.
